Corvettes Cross Historic Selma Bridge

1 comment:

  1. The Untouchables participated in a historic Edmund Pettus Bridge crossing in Selma with dozens of ICCC members. Recall that in 1965, when Selma civil rights activists attempted to join the march to Montgomery in support of the right to vote, armed police pushed them back across the Pettus bridge with billy clubs and tear gas. It became known as "Bloody Sunday." The Untouchables and other ICCC members enjoyed a peaceful crossing. It was a sight to see at least 70 Vettes drive across the bridge without incident and full police escort.
