The Untouchables Corvette Club of Huntsville, Ala. is a Corvette car club. Our goal is to engage in fun activities such as car shows, Corvette conventions, road trips, car races, and support our community service endeavors through one or two large annual fundraising efforts. The club was founded 27 years ago by seven long time Huntsville residents. There are currently 18 members. We are a cohesive group and function as a supportive and caring extended family.
The Untouchables participated in a historic Edmund Pettus Bridge crossing in Selma with dozens of ICCC members. Recall that in 1965, when Selma civil rights activists attempted to join the march to Montgomery in support of the right to vote, armed police pushed them back across the Pettus bridge with billy clubs and tear gas. It became known as "Bloody Sunday." The Untouchables and other ICCC members enjoyed a peaceful crossing. It was a sight to see at least 70 Vettes drive across the bridge without incident and full police escort.
